The board of the Czech National Bank has increased the two-day repo rate to 1.50 %. This year, the rate has been raised several times already, and this affects for example the sum of late payment interests in case of late payment of taxes, among other things.
At the same time, CNB decided about an increase of the Lombard rate to 2.50 % and the discount rate to 0.50 %. The koruna rate to euro decreased slightly first, from August, but in the course of September it increased again. The previous weakening of the koruna rate resulted from a decrease of financial investors' confidence in developing markets and the continuing increase of rates in the USA. The increase of local interest rates operates towards strengthening.
