The bill amending certain laws on the consolidation of public budgets passed its third reading in the Chamber of Deputies on 13 October 2023. During the third reading, opposition amendments were rejected and the government’s omnibus amendment, which we have already informed you about, e.g. regarding functional currency, exchange rate differences, employee benefits or the postponement of the effective date of the restriction on the exemption of income from the sale of securities and shares to 1 January 2025, was approved and the amended text of the amendment as a whole was approved.

The consolidation package will now head to the Senate. We will continue to monitor the progress of the legislative process.
