When approving the draft bill, which changes act no. 117/1995 Coll., on state social support, the Senate rectified and approved the amount of credit for the second child and other children.

In the draft approved by the Chamber of Deputies, the basic credits for the second child and other children would not have come out even if divided by 12, which would have significantly complicated payroll records and software adjustment. The Senate has intervened and the credit for the second child and other children will newly be divisible by twelve.

The credit for a second child will reach CZK 22,320 and for the third child and other children it will be CZK 27,840.  The above will be applied from 1 January 2022 and it will thus not be necessary to adjust wage programmes and the way of calculating wages in the course of the calendar year.

We firmly believe that the Chamber of Deputies will approve the corrected version and will avoid such complications in the future.
