As of 15 November 2023, the Financial Administration has made the data boxes of 77 territorial offices, which were closed in the middle of this year due to savings, unavailable. This ended the transitional period when the successor tax offices temporarily operated the data boxes of the closed territorial offices and processed tax returns and other submissions that taxpayers mistakenly delivered to them. Statistics from the tax administration show that there is a significant number of such taxpayers.
As of mid-November, the IDs of these data boxes can no longer be retrieved or data messages delivered to them. We therefore recommend that all taxpayers check whether they are sending documents to the data boxes of the correct administrative authorities. You can find more detailed information here.
