As of 30 June 2021, following the end of the school year, the exceptional option supported by legislation, based on which it was possible to draw down caregiver allowance during the time that school or pre-school facilities were closed, is ending.
From 1 July 2021, caregiver allowance can thus be drawn down for a child under the age of 10 under the general conditions stipulated in the Sickness Insurance Act.
