In connection with the gradual change in the tax rates for tobacco products in the stages from 1 Feb 2021, 1 Jan 2022 and 1 Jan 2023, the ban on the sale and storage of tobacco products with tobacco labels with an older rate applies after the end of the specified transition period. For this purpose, tobacco labels with the original tariff will be marked with the letter "Z" in 2021, tobacco labels with the new tariff will contain the letter "F".

Currently it should be noted that the period for the sale of heated tobacco products with the letter "Z" ended on 31 July 2021, from 1 August 2021 it is therefore only possible to store and sell products marked with a label with the letter "F". To make the picture complete, it should be noted that with regard to the shorter 3-month transition period for cigarettes, this transition was made earlier. Violation of this prohibition may result in a fine of up to CZK 50m.
