Financial administration announcement for payers of income from employment tax

Share article:

Financial authorities announce that the proposed amendment on income tax (parliamentary note no. 873) will most probably come into force during 2017; the delay is expected because of the current state of the law-making process. For the purposes of the 2017 tax period, persons paying the income from employment tax shall use the current wording of Act No. 586/1992 Coll. on Income tax, which remains valid until the new amendment comes in force.

In case the amendment does come into force during 2017, then the only change for 2017 in relation to taxation of income from employment tax will be change of the monthly rate of tax advantage on the second, third and every following dependent child. Further, provision § 381 parag. 1 h) of Act on Income Tax will be effective. This provision lays down new requisites for confirmation issued by pension insurance companies.

Furthermore, financial authorities have said that the forms for 2017 tax period have been printed and distributed already and that the way of taxation remains unchanged for the 2017 tax period.
