We are very pleased to announce that Grant Thornton Audit has won the tender for audit services for the European Environment Agency (EEA). Over the next four years, our experts will be responsible for verifying grant agreements. In particular, our work will involve checking the accuracy and completeness of costs declared by individual entities in the implementation of projects co-financed by the European Environment Agency.
We are delighted that the expertise of our audit team has convinced the Agency to select Grant Thornton and we are already looking forward to the challenges that such a large-scale project brings. From the familiar waters of auditing financial statements, we will delve more into grant verification and will communicate regularly with foreign partners as part of implementation. We will delve deeper into the environmental field and examine what activities are implemented and supported by subsidies in its context.
“Jan Vácha’s team will be the first within GT EU to be the audit partner of a similar entity and I have no doubt that his professionalism and expertise will lead to successful cooperation. At the same time, I look forward to our experts making full use of their experience and know-how in other upcoming projects,” Grant Thornton partner Milan Pašek concludes.
