With the holiday season upon us, the Czech Customs Administration has issued a warning against the import of prohibited souvenirs from foreign trips. These may typically include various species of corals or shells and other species of animals and plants protected by the international CITES convention. In addition, travellers should pay attention to the duty exemption limits for selected products, such as tobacco products. Violations of the rules are subject to significant fines. Specific information can be verified on the website of the Prague Ruzyně Customs Office under the link “Information for passengers”.
