On 26 January 2022, the Czech Social Security Administration (hereinafter the “CSSA”) launched a new online service – Information on paid advances on pension insurance premiums for self-employed persons. The CSSA will no longer send out so-called inventories of receivables, but all information will now be available to self-employed persons on the CSSA ePortal.
In order to work with the new service, the self-employed person needs to log in to the CSSA ePortal via Citizen Identity, data box or if the self-employed person uses the services of a tax advisor, he/she can authorize this person to represent him/her. In case of any ambiguity, CSSA states that the existing authorisations and powers of attorney of all entities will continue to be automatically maintained.

Advantages of the new CSSA ePortal service:

  • information on advance payments of insurance premiums for individual calendar months, indicating the amounts of advance payments of insurance premiums for the current and preceding calendar year
  • a summary of all payments made in the current and the previous calendar year
  • if the self-employed person did not have at least one day of self-employment recorded in the current or previous calendar year, he/she will be advised of this when he/she enters the Information on the paid advances on insurance
  • the self-employed person will be able to view the information on paid advances as well as whether he/she was obliged to pay advances on insurance premiums in individual calendar months or whether no advances on insurance premium were prescribed
