František Poborský is a partner at Grant Thornton responsible for the Appraisal Department. His expertise is primarily in the areas of business valuation, corporate governance, corporate finance and corporate transactions. František is an expert in the field of economics, specializing in companies (business plants). He has written a number of expert reports for commercial purposes, as well as for court proceedings and review reports. He has gained considerable experience in the preparation and subsequent defence of expert opinions and reviews of expert opinions used in a number of judicial proceedings and arbitrations. In the area of corporate finance and corporate transactions, František has led a number of transactions from a financial perspective in the Czech Republic and internationally, including advising on corporate finance, its performance and optimization.
As part of his professional activity, he also cooperates in the development of methodological and legislative materials related to property valuation and appraisal activities in the Czech Republic.
František has been professionally involved in valuation and corporate finance since 2008. He graduated from the Prague University of Economics and Business, his main specialisation being finance and corporate valuation (Ing. degree). He continued with post-graduate studies at the Department of Corporate Finance and Valuation at Prague University of Economics and Business (Ph.D.), of which he is also a member and where he teaches subjects focusing on corporate valuation and corporate finance. František was also instrumental in the establishment of the successful MBARE specialisation programme focusing on real estate, in the management of which he continues to participate.
