A new path for Grant Thornton

We have the ambition to elevate education to the level of our main services, says Jiří Jakoubek about the new acquisition

The consulting company is entering into one of the longest operating domestic agencies focusing
on education. “We are not jumping into uncharted waters. On the GT Academy platform, we have been providing online and face-to-face training in all important business areas for a long time. The acquisition of 1. VOX agency confirms our ambition to bring education and training services from the periphery of our service portfolio to the same level as the other services,” explains Jiří Jakoubek, Partner at Grant Thornton.

  1. VOX agency has established itself on the adult education market as one of the most important agencies over more than 30 years of its existence. Grant Thornton has set two main objectives for the transaction. First and foremost, it wants to build on the current work of the agency, which it considers highly professional, and develop it further with regard to current business trends. The second big challenge is to expand services with a focus on companies, employee training and possibly implementing our own training centres in large companies.

“Although we have great goals and we want our ownership involvement to be reflected in a new, more modern appearance of the agency, the main thing for us at the moment is to maintain continuity,” explains Jiří Jakoubek, adding his longer-term vision. “The education market is very dynamic and I believe that combining the experience of our experts from practice with the lecturing know-how of the agency will generate new innovative solutions that can meet the ever-changing needs of clients.”
