On 20 June 2023, the Act on the Protection of Whistleblowers was promulgated in the Collection of Laws under the number 171/2023 Coll. The amendment to the laws related to the adoption of this new Act was published on the same day under the number 172/2023 Coll. The effective date of the Whistleblower Protection Act is the first day of the second calendar month following the date of its promulgation. The law will thus come into force on 1 August 2023, as expected. On this date, certain obliged entities will therefore start to be subject to the obligations that we have summarised in our article.
